My name is Dave Shanholtz, State and Federally Licensed Taxidermist.  I am a graduate of the Missouri Taxidermy Institute where I received detailed training in all aspects of taxidermy.  I am continually expanding my knowledge and expertise by attending trade shows, competitions and seminars, staying up to date with the latest state of the art techniques. 

All mounts are done using the highest quality materials available.  All mammal skins are fully tanned before mounting, either in my studio or by a commercial tannery.  I take great pride in assuring that my customers receive a high quality piece of wildlife art.

I am currently serving on the Board of Directors of the Maryland Taxidermists Association.  I am also an active member of the National Taxidermists Association, as well as Ducks Unlimited, National Rifle Association, North American Hunting Club, and Mayberry Game Protective Association.  I am also a certified scorer for the Maryland Trophy Deer Contest. 

I spend much of my free time hunting and fishing on the shores and waters of the Chesapeake Bay on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.  My love for the Chesapeake Bay and its diverse wildlife inspired the name of my studio and much of my work.  If you are on the Eastern Shore, I can arrange pick up and delivery of your trophy. 

My studio is centrally located in Westminster, Maryland, convenient from the Baltimore, Frederick, and south central Pennsylvania areas.
